Igglybuff, the Balloon Pokémon, is a Normal/Fairy-type introduced in Generation II. It is the pre-evolved form of Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff, evolving from Igglybuff into Jigglypuff with high friendship, and then into Wigglytuff using a Moon Stone. Known for its incredibly soft and bouncy body, Igglybuff can bounce like a rubber ball, though it often struggles to stop once it starts. Its vocal cords are still developing, making its singing less controlled than Jigglypuff's. When it starts to sing, it can lull anyone nearby into a deep sleep, often to its own surprise. Igglybuff typically inhabits grassy fields and forests, often found in groups. Its diet consists mainly of berries and small plant matter. In the anime, Igglybuff often appears as a cute, sometimes mischievous, Pokémon, prone to accidental singing that puts everyone to sleep. Its adorable appearance and unique ability to induce sleep have made it a fan favorite, representing innocence and the early stages of a Pokémon's journey. Despite its seemingly fragile nature, Igglybuff possesses a surprising resilience due to its bouncy body, making it a challenging opponent to pin down in battle.
