Horsea

Horsea, the Dragon Pokémon, is a charming Water-type creature introduced in Generation I. It is known for its distinctive seahorse-like appearance, with a long, coiled tail and a trumpet-like snout. Horsea makes its home in the calmer parts of oceans, often found amongst coral reefs and seaweed beds where it can camouflage itself effectively. Its diet primarily consists of small crustaceans and plankton, which it sucks up with its specialized mouth. In the wild, Horsea are gentle creatures, but when threatened, they are capable of spitting out pitch-black ink to create a smokescreen, allowing them to escape from predators. Horsea evolves into Seadra, and then into Kingdra when traded while holding a Dragon Scale. This evolution line highlights a fascinating progression from a pure Water-type to a Water/Dragon-type, showcasing the unique elemental characteristics of the Pokémon world. Horsea has been a beloved Pokémon since its debut in the Kanto region, appearing frequently in the anime, often alongside Misty, one of Ash's original companions.
