Gulpin

Gulpin is a pure Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, hailing from the Hoenn region. Known as the "Stomach Pokémon," Gulpin's most distinctive feature is its massive, flexible stomach, which comprises most of its body. This stomach is filled with powerful enzymes capable of dissolving almost anything, allowing Gulpin to consume objects much larger than itself. Gulpin are primarily found in grasslands and forests, where they can gorge on various plants and small creatures. Their simple, spherical design and perpetually hungry demeanor make them somewhat endearing, despite their potent digestive capabilities. In the games, Gulpin evolves into Swalot starting at level 26. While not a powerhouse in competitive battling, Gulpin often serves as an early-game Poison-type option and is memorable for its unique physiology. Its role in the anime typically highlights its gluttonous nature and its ability to swallow objects whole, sometimes leading to comedic situations. Gulpin’s design emphasizes its biological function over traditional animalistic features, making it a unique representation of the Poison type.
