Genesect is a unique and powerful Mythical Pokémon, first introduced in Generation V with the release of Pokémon Black and White. In the anime, it has been featured prominently, most notably in the movie "Genesect and the Legend Awakened," where a group of Genesect, led by a powerful Red Genesect, clashed with Mewtwo. It has no evolutionary line, existing as a standalone Mythical Pokémon, and its unique typing gives it resistances to Normal, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Bug, Steel, Dragon, Fairy, and Poison, with an immunity to Poison, but a significant 4x weakness to Fire.
