Galarian Moltres is a regional variant of the legendary Pokémon Moltres, originally introduced in Generation I. Unlike its Kanto counterpart, which is a Fire/Flying type, Galarian Moltres is a Dark/Flying type, reflecting the unique environment and energy of the Galar region. Its appearance is also dramatically different, featuring a dark, shadowy body with vibrant, magenta-colored flames that resemble an ominous, swirling aura. This variant is believed to be fueled by pure, unadulterated rage and sorrow, transforming its fiery essence into a dark, malevolent energy. In the games, Galarian Moltres is one of the three legendary birds found in the Crown Tundra, a DLC area for Pokémon Sword and Shield, where it roams the Isle of Armor. In the anime, it has been shown as a formidable force, embodying a different facet of power compared to its original form.
