Galarian Articuno is a Psychic/Flying type Legendary Pokémon, a regional variant of the Kanto region's Articuno, introduced in the eighth generation of the Pokémon franchise with the *Pokémon Sword and Shield* Expansion Pass. Unlike its Ice/Flying Kanto counterpart, Galarian Articuno is characterized by its stern, regal appearance and its ability to unleash powerful psychic energy, often freezing foes in place with its "Cruel Charge" attack in the games or using its signature move "Freezing Glare." It is part of the Legendary Birds trio of the Galar region, alongside Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres, each representing a different aspect of the region's lore and possessing distinct typings and abilities. In the games, it is found roaming the Crown Tundra, a harsh, icy landscape, and is renowned for its intelligence and often aloof behavior.
