Its natural habitat typically involves grassy plains and forests where leeks grow abundantly. Farfetch'd's diet consists primarily of these leeks, and it is said that if it loses its prized leek, it will search tirelessly for another, sometimes to the point of exhaustion. In the anime, it made notable appearances, often highlighting its stubborn and proud nature, and its signature move "Fury Attack" sometimes incorporated its leek. Culturally, Farfetch'd is a symbol of rarity and the importance of a specific item to a creature's identity, drawing parallels to traditional Japanese folklore where certain animals are associated with particular objects. It does not have an evolution line in its original form, although a Galarian form introduced later does evolve.
