Dugtrio

Dugtrio is a Ground-type Pokémon, famously composed of three Diglett that have emerged from the ground together. Introduced in Generation I, Dugtrio's Pokédex entries often highlight its incredible digging speed, stating it can dig at speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour, making it an excellent tunnel builder. They are typically found in caves and open fields, where they can easily burrow through the earth. While Diglett are known to be shy, Dugtrio are often depicted as more confident, though still somewhat reclusive, preferring to stay underground where their bodies are hidden. Their diet consists primarily of roots and subterranean insects, which they find while tunneling. In the games, Dugtrio is known for its high Speed stat and the Arena Trap ability, which prevents opposing Pokémon from switching out. In the anime, Dugtrio have made various appearances, often showcasing their digging prowess and sometimes causing mischief for characters like Ash and his friends. Culturally, Dugtrio is a memorable early-generation Pokémon, recognized for its unique design and the mystery surrounding what lies beneath the surface. It evolves from Diglett starting at level 26. As a Ground-type, it is strong against Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock, and Steel types, but weak to Water, Grass, and Ice types.
