Drowzee, the Hypnosis Pokémon, is a Psychic-type creature introduced in Generation I. It is known for its ability to put foes to sleep and then consume their dreams. Drowzee's design is inspired by tapirs, animals that are also believed in some cultures to eat dreams. It evolves into Hypno starting at level 26. In the games, Drowzee is often found in areas like Route 11 and the Celadon City Game Corner in the Kanto region, and it plays a minor role in the anime, often depicted as a mischievous but not inherently malicious Pokémon. Its dream-eating habits are a central part of its lore, sometimes leading to good dreams for the sleeper, but occasionally to nightmares for Drowzee if the dreams are bad. This unique behavior has made Drowzee a memorable Pokémon, representing the more mysterious and psychological aspects of the Pokémon world. Its evolution, Hypno, continues this theme with its pendulum-swinging hypnosis. Drowzee's typing gives it an advantage against Fighting and Poison types, but makes it vulnerable to Bug, Ghost, and Dark type attacks.
