Diancie is a mythical Rock/Fairy-type Pokémon, first introduced in Generation VI, making its debut in the games Pokémon X and Y. Known as the "Jewel Pokémon," Diancie is a rare and beautiful creature said to be a sudden, sparkling transformation of Carbink. Its natural habitat is deep within caves, where it is born from the concentrated energy of surrounding diamonds. Diancie has the unique ability to instantly create diamonds by compressing the carbon in the air, a power it often uses for defense or to beautify its surroundings. In the anime, Diancie played a central role in the movie "Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction," where it sought the help of Ash and his friends to find Xerneas and save its home, Diamond Domain. It is also capable of Mega Evolution, transforming into Mega Diancie, which boasts enhanced speed and offensive capabilities. Its dual typing of Rock/Fairy gives it interesting matchups; it is strong against Fighting, Dragon, and Dark types, but vulnerable to Steel, Ground, Water, and Grass attacks.
