Dhelmise is a unique Grass/Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, hailing from the Alola region. This sentient seaweed mass, often accompanied by a ship’s anchor and helm, is said to be the grudges of seaweed that entangled a ship and sank it. It patiently waits for prey in the deep sea, ensnaring them with its strong seaweed arms and delivering a powerful blow with its anchor. Dhelmise has no known evolutionary line, making it a standalone Pokémon. In the games, it's notable for its Steelworker ability, which boosts the power of its Steel-type moves despite not being a Steel-type itself, reflecting its anchor appendage. Its unique typing gives it several resistances and weaknesses, making it an interesting strategic choice. In the anime, it has appeared in episodes showcasing its territorial nature and immense strength.
