Corphish

Corphish, the Ruffian Pokémon, is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves into Crawdaunt starting at Level 30. Corphish are known for their hardy vitality, enabling them to adapt to nearly any environment, from freshwater lakes to brackish estuaries. They are aggressive and territorial, often found battling each other or other Water-type Pokémon for dominance. Their powerful pincers are a defining characteristic, so strong that, according to lore, they will never release prey once caught. Corphish primarily feed on aquatic plants and smaller aquatic creatures. In the Pokémon anime, Ash caught a Corphish early in his Hoenn journey, which became a memorable and often comedic member of his team, known for its energetic and somewhat mischievous personality. Its design, reminiscent of a freshwater crayfish, contributes to its charm and widespread appeal among fans. As a Water-type, Corphish typically has advantages against Fire, Ground, and Rock types, while being vulnerable to Electric and Grass types, consistent with its in-game attributes.
