Clefairy

Clefairy is a beloved Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I, easily recognized by its pink, star-shaped body and small wings. Originating from Mt. Moon, it is often depicted as a shy, nocturnal creature that lives in groups and is said to be able to fly using its tiny wings, though it's more commonly seen walking. Clefairy are known for their playful nature and their ability to absorb moonlight, which they store in their wings and release as a soft, ethereal glow. In the Pokémon world, they are considered rare and mysterious, often associated with meteors and outer space, leading some to believe they are extraterrestrial in origin. They evolve from Cleffa when leveled up with high friendship during the day, and then into Clefable when exposed to a Moon Stone. Clefairy played a significant role in the early anime as Misty's initial Pokémon choice and later as a recurring character that often brought comedic relief. Its adorable appearance and unique lore have cemented its place as a fan favorite, embodying the whimsical and magical aspects of the Pokémon universe. Its type was originally Normal in Generation I and II before being reclassified as Fairy in Generation VI, changing its type matchups significantly.
