Sinistea is a Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII, native to the Galar region. It is a peculiar Pokémon that inhabits antique teacups, often found in old houses and hotels where it seeks out leftover tea. Sinistea is known for its ability to possess and animate teacups, making it appear as if the cup itself is alive. There are two forms of Sinistea: Phony Form and Antique Form. The Antique Form is significantly rarer and can be identified by a small blue mark on the bottom of its teacup. Sinistea evolves into Polteageist when exposed to a Cracked Pot (for Phony Form) or a Chipped Pot (for Antique Form). Its diet consists of the life force it siphons from those who drink its tea, leaving them with a chill. In the games, it is often found in areas with a historical or eerie atmosphere, such as Glimwood Tangle. Its unique concept, blending the mundane with the supernatural, has made it a memorable addition to the Pokémon world, often appearing in fan art and merchandise. Its Ghost typing gives it interesting matchups, being weak to Ghost and Dark types, resistant to Poison and Bug, and immune to Normal and Fighting attacks.
