Emolga is a dual Electric/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V, native to the Unova region. Known as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon, it resembles a flying squirrel with large, expressive eyes and prominent yellow cheek pouches. These pouches are where Emolga stores the electricity it generates, which it can then discharge in a static shock or use to glide through the air on membranes connecting its limbs to its body. Emolga is a relatively small Pokémon, typically found in forested areas or high in trees, where it can easily glide between branches. Its diet primarily consists of berries and nuts, which it often carries in its cheek pouches. In the anime, Emolga is often depicted as playful and mischievous, with Iris's Emolga being a notable example, often using Attract to get its way. Despite its cute appearance, it can be quite feisty when provoked. Emolga does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon, making it a standalone species. Its Electric/Flying typing gives it unique matchups, being strong against Water and Fighting types, but vulnerable to Rock and Ice attacks.
