Azurill is a Water/Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, specifically in the Hoenn region with the release of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It is the pre-evolved form of Marill and Azumarill, evolving into Marill when leveled up with high friendship. Azurill is known for its small, round body and its distinctive large, dark blue bouncy tail, which it uses to play and to move quickly on land. Its playful nature and adorable appearance have made it a fan favorite, often depicted as a cheerful and energetic Pokémon. In the anime, Azurill is frequently shown interacting with other small Pokémon and often gets into minor mischievous situations, showcasing its youthful exuberance.
