Aegislash, the Royal Sword Pokémon, is a Steel/Ghost-type introduced in Generation VI, residing in the Kalos region. It is the final evolution of Honedge, evolving from Doublade when exposed to a Dusk Stone. Aegislash's unique characteristic is its ability to switch between two forms: Shield Forme, which boasts incredibly high defense, and Blade Forme, which prioritizes offense. This duality reflects its lore, where it is said to have attended generations of kings, using its spectral power to manipulate and control people and Pokémon, subtly influencing their decisions. Its behavior is often described as protective of its chosen owner, yet it possesses a powerful, almost regal, presence. In the games, its Stance Change ability allows it to dynamically adapt to battle situations, making it a formidable opponent.
